Arcobacter butzleri, Arcobacter cryaerophilus, and Arcobacter skirrowii have been associated with disease in humans, and typically are isolated from fecal samples. Arcobacter broth is intended for use with Cefoperazone, Amphotericin B, Teicoplanin (CAT) Selective Supplement (SR0174) as a selective enrichment broth for the growth of Arcobacter species and with the more selective CCDA (SR0155) for the selective enrichment of Arcobacter butzleri.
